O/Modernt Tickets: Concerts in Europe 2026 and 2027
O/Modernt tickets are now available for several European concerts in autumn 2026 and beyond. The Stockholm-based chamber orchestra, led by violinist Hugo Ticciati, performs on 9 September 2026 at the Kursaal in Merano, Italy, with the programme «Henry & Harry | Potter & Purcell», joined by the VOCES8 Scholars Ensemble, soprano Dorothea Röschmann, and bass-baritone Frederick Long. On 3 December 2026, O/Modernt returns to Wigmore Hall in London for an evening of Britten and newly commissioned work by Nico Muhly. Further concert dates are confirmed for October and November 2026, and a European tour is scheduled for January 2027 and June 2027.O/Modernt has spent over a decade redefining what a chamber orchestra can do. The Guardian described the ensemble as dedicated to «broadening our auditory experiences, revitalizing old works and recontextualizing new compositions through surprising musical contrasts.» Hugo Ticciati directs from the violin, shaping programmes that move freely between Purcell, Brahms, Arvo Pärt, Nico Muhly, and jazz. The album «From the Ground Up: The Chaconne», released on Signum Classics in 2019, won the Gramophone Concept Album Award 2020, one of classical music's most respected honours. In May 2026, O/Modernt released the new album «Milestones», a cross-genre project bringing together music by Josquin des Prez, Igor Stravinsky, and Miles Davis. The orchestra holds active residencies at the Queen Silvia Concert Hall in Stockholm and at Wigmore Hall in London, two of Europe's most prestigious chamber music venues.
