Vienna Philharmonic Tickets: European Concerts 2026 and 2027

Vienna Philharmonic tickets are available now for four confirmed European concerts in autumn 2026 and spring 2027. On 8 September 2026, the orchestra performs at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. One day later, on 9 September 2026, the concert moves to the Philharmonie Berlin. On 10 September 2026, Dresden's Kulturpalast hosts the third date. Conductor Tugan Sokhiev leads all three performances, with three-time Grammy winner Hilary Hahn as violin soloist. The programme features Dvořák's Violin Concerto in A minor, op. 53, and excerpts from Prokofiev's ballet Romeo and Juliet. The Berlin concert runs approximately 1 hour 35 minutes including interval, as confirmed by the organiser. In April 2027, the Wiener Philharmoniker return to Cologne: on 20 April 2027, conductor Lorenzo Viotti leads the orchestra at the Kölner Philharmonie with works by Richard Strauss and Erich Wolfgang Korngold.

Founded on 28 March 1842 by conductor Otto Nicolai, the Wiener Philharmoniker are among the oldest professional concert orchestras in the world. For over 180 years, their musicians have come exclusively from the Vienna State Opera Orchestra, a principle that remains unchanged to this day. The orchestra runs its affairs on fully democratic principles: every member has an equal vote on repertoire, guest conductors and organisational decisions. That self-governing structure has shaped a distinctive, homogeneous sound that generations of audiences have come to recognise. The September 2026 tour brings this sound to three of Germany's most celebrated concert halls in just three days, making it one of the most concentrated opportunities in years to hear the Wiener Philharmoniker live in Germany. Tickets for Hamburg and Berlin were confirmed through official venue sources and are part of the Musikfest Berlin programme.
